I watched Days of Thunder more than 20 times when I was in middle school. I knew the story by heart. But every time I played that worn VHS tape, I was instantly hooked by Tom Cruise’s character. The underdog spirit. The sportsmanship. The dedication, friendship, loyalty, and sweats to become the best.
I felt that same pulse kicking into my heart, watching the F1 movie. A great sports film makes you feel a hundred times in the back of your neck, and this one did. What a masterpiece, lifted up by absolutely top-notch music and sound with its visuals and performance. Pure joy.
